Vintage Paper

Chamomile 1761

Sometimes you stumble upon things by accident and they are perfect as is. There is something about the stains on the paper, the smell of an old book, passing of something old from generation to generation. If books and journals could tell their stories aloud, oh the crowds they would draw.

This is from a vintage gardening book from 1761 that is now part of the public domain. You can click on it, save to your drive, it would look lovely in a frame. I have sized it to print as 8.5 x 11 or A2.

Chamomile holds a special interest for me since it has medicinal properties and I love the science behind it ๐Ÿ™‚ Thisย has been used as a traditional medicine for thousands of years to calm anxiety and settle stomachs. Chamomile is best known as an ingredient in herbal tea.

Have a beautiful Sunday.

  1. It is so pretty and charming Lisa!! I like chamomile too- so gentle and calming. My favorite vintage print it from a trip Larry and I took to Portugal — there was a shop with old books and boxes and boxes of loose pages torn from books. We bought a page with a black and white drawing of a woman hanging laundry out her window– really a sweet picture. We have it hanging in the hallway. Always something beautiful on your blog Lisa. thank you. hugs!
