Spring Visitor

LL 4.22

I didn’t think spring would arrive this year. Just a week ago, we listened to the ping of freezing rain hit the windows and then leave a gift from Mother Nature of snow and ice behind. Although we still have some snow in the woods where the sun can’t break through, there has been a shift from white to green.

The birds are singing in harmony again. There are no brisk winds and the air has warmth to it – refreshing. The days are longer, the earth is unfreezing allowing green shoots to poke through like a promise of good things to come. For me, it was a happy day, we had a spring visitor. He is one we look forward to seeing after a long winter.

Out the front door, we had another visitor. One lone turkey scratching away.

I love to see the green emerge from a long winters nap.

    1. Thank you, Darren! I am so happy we have promise of warmth. I am waiting for spring flowers to appear. For now, I am going to marvel over your beautiful flowers πŸ’ŸπŸŒž Those tulips are so amazing!!

  4. Is that first bird a blue heron? It is beautiful! And I’m so glad Spring has finally arrived in your area. It has arrived here as well, although the temps are still at least 10 degrees cooler than usual. Still, it’s not winter, and I’ll take it!

    1. Thank you! I’m so happy spring finally found its way to you. Last week was definitely a blow from Mother Nature. 60’s feels amazing after the long winter. I bet your girls are so happy to see the grass again 🌞🌻

  5. Hi, I am glad spring has finally sprung. What an excellent picture of the blue heron. We had a sudden hail storm on Wednesday, left the garden covered as if it has snowed again – hopefully the warm weather will return soon.

    1. Hello! Thank you, I’m so happy it is spring like again. Those pop up wintery storms are horrible especially when they cover our gardens. I hope it warms up again soon and all the plants come to life again. 🌞🌻
