She Who Dares

She Who Dares…Wins, indeed. 2018 overall was a year of growth for me mostly due to Word Press. Of course, every year has its struggles, hardships, and losses, I had mine. I tried and was mostly successful to stay out of the darkness. I am fortunate for the friends I made and the creative outlets. I am not one who likes to dwell on the past, except for traditions.

For 2019, I want to dare myself. I like this saying instead of resolution because frankly, I’m not good at keeping my resolutions much past January. I dare myself to push the envelope, explore creativity, expand my writing, and share more of what I love even if I fail miserably at it. I am looking forward to continuing the creative journey that myself, Darren the Arty Plantsman and Dominique from 3CStyle are on with When Fashion and Nature Collide.

In 2019, you will see more posts from me. I will share what brings me inspiration and of course free graphics for crafts. I am constantly taking pictures and creating graphics that find themselves hidden away in some file that never sees the light of day.

All photographs were taken by me. Some I have shared on IG. Here is hoping to more shares in 2019! Besides art, nature and decorating makes my heart happy.

I wish all of you a happy and safe New Years! What are you going to dare yourself to do?

Much love & big New Year’s hugs,

Lisa

  1. I really like the concept of “daring” yourself instead of resolutions! Maybe because I can’t keep them either so I don’t bother anymore! Such beautiful pictures, I especially like the leaves on the stone steps but it’s hard to pick. A beautiful and “daring” New Year to you dear blogging friend, Cheers!!

  2. Although I didn’t know you before 2018, no doubt you have grown and stretched yourself beyond what you originally thought you would do. I, for one, am grateful to have experienced your talents, heard your heart, and saw your love for art. Here’s to a terrific 2019. May the stretching begin! Hugs from Dallas.

  3. Beautiful and heartfelt post, Lisa. The complicity I share with you and Darren was one of the highlights of 2018. You both inspire me so much. We share so many similarities … I’m not even surprised anymore that we often think of the same things at the same time. It’s almost scary sometimes! How you immediately understand an artistic idea with just two or three words always amazes me. And I sometimes feel like we could have whole conversions just with a few emoji or our facial expressions. I love you both so much. You are such wonderful friends. Sis, I think you’re stuck with me for the rest of your life!!!!! By the way, love your pics and decor vignettes, too. xoxo

    1. Thank you, Do! It’s amazing and not a surprise we think of things at the same time. I agree, we can have a whole conversation with little words and emojis. You both get what’s in my heart and soul. I feel incredibly blessed. You both are stuck with me, too!! Love both of you so much! 💗🎇
